The wine recommendations that have been offered have always been wonderful. If traveling near Templeton, Atascadero or Paso Robles area, this is one unique restaurant to visit. ”

“ While visiting the Central California coast line, we were looking for a steak house. And through both word of mouth and Help, we dame across McPhee's Grill. Located in the heart of the Central CA wine country, this steak house has something to fulfill the pickiest of eaters. Everything from the breads, salads, steaks, and seafood are excellent, in fact beyond excellent. The servers are very attentive and polite, just making your dining experience all the better. There's nothing better than being appreciated by the staff that you're taking the time to dine there. The dining room is well decorated and dimly lit for those wanting a romantic meal. Aside from the atmosphere, the comprehensive wine list and knowledge from the staff about the wines are phenomenal. Thank you for the amazing meal and excellent service. ”

“ Carmela took good care of us, as this was our first time visiting. We had reservations and we were promptly seated in their large back room. Kind of hoped for a booth but I heard one host say to another that those were already fully booked by a large group. Sometimes a restaurant's back room is weird and loud, but this one was beautiful!! Pretty lighting and nice soft table lamps made for an intimate setting. There were plenty of couples and family groups enjoying one another and it never got too loud! We had the avocado burger, a filet and a sharable porterhouse. All amazing! The goat cheese and roasted garlic app was so good. Thanks, Carmela! ”
“ The perfect restaurant to end a fantastic trip to Paso! Start off with the fresh, warm bread and order the warm goat cheese and roasted garlic to go along with it. The 8oz filet mignon was absolute delish esp with the red wine olive sauce. Our waitress was the nicest and offered me any dessert off the menu in honor of my birthday. Will always recommend this place for anyone going to Paso! ”
“ I wish I knew more about the history of the building, which this wonderful resto has now become. Our friendly server told us she only started working there for a few months but did share what she has heard through the grapevine. LOL! I won't share that here in my review, so you'll just have to go check this place out if you wanna know! ;)) We had a wonderful dining experience here! The bread service came out right away, and we enjoyed the plate of pickled veggies! Their portions are massive but most of all, delicious! Ordered the BB'Q Pork Baby-back Ribs, which was super tender and saucy...yum! The hubz and sis both ordered the American Prime Kobe Burger, which was juicy and overflowing with goodness! The special that night was a Bone-in NY Steak, which our buddy ordered and enjoyed (medium rare) and cooked perfectly (thanks, chef!). For dessert, the Key lime pie (special), June's famous crème brûlée, and Vanilla bean ice cream sundae surely did not disappoint! All in all, we left there with happy hearts and full bellies!
